I have lived in Greenwich since grade school and graduated from Greenwich High School. I've served in our town government for many years, first on the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) and then on the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET). I am a solo attorney practicing in estate and probate law and real estate law. My pro bono work has focused on representing the vulnerable people in our town. I also have a doctorate in pharmacology and toxicology.
As an Independent Party candidate, I am committed to putting our Community First. During my many years of public service in our town, I’ve had a ring-side seat to the challenges we face as a community. There was a time when our elected officials prioritized Greenwich’s needs over partisan agendas and had real discussions without political rancor. Today, however, both parties have lost sight of this. It is one reason I decided to seek the Independent Party endorsement for the BET. I’ve witnessed the toxicity of politics firsthand. When Michael Hahn, the current Chair of the Republican Town Committee, made a dismissive comment about “dragging the women along,” it struck me as emblematic of how out of touch and divisive the current RTC has become. Similarly, the Democrats’ partisan politics of withdrawal from their participation in the BET Human Resources Committee has paralyzed the ability of that committee to serve the town. Both sides have prioritized national politics over the well-being of our community, making service on the BET feel radioactive. But this challenge has only fueled my determination. I’ve always seen myself as an underdog, ready to fight for what’s right. Greenwich thrives when we listen to one another, not when we’re shouting over each other. I believe that by working together, we can restore the BET’s focus on Greenwich. Let's put our community first!
My priorities are clear: we must fund budgets that keep taxes affordable, especially for middle-class families and the elderly. We can achieve this by adopting a disciplined approach to prioritizing essential services and infrastructure projects. We must also recognize that in prioritizing essential infrastructure projects not every project can be done at once, but we can ensure each identified project will ultimately be done in a way that meets our community’s expectations. As an example, I was on the committee that guided the newly constructed Cohen Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, which is a model of how that can be achieved.
The BET should be a place where we make decisions for Greenwich’s future, not a battleground for partisan politics. I’m running as an Independent to restore that focus and to ensure the BET serves all of Greenwich, not just the agendas of a few. I’m committed to cutting through the partisan noise, and delivering results that make Greenwich a stronger, affordable community for everyone. This campaign isn’t about me—it’s about us. Together, we can show that community-driven leadership can rise above politics as usual. So please join me. It’s time to put Community over Politics!
